PS ...they are buying houses from $500,000 and up. You can get a green card for that with a new program that gives an automatic green card to a buyer of big estates... The program allows for 10,000 new immigrants...starting in Florida.

In the year 1900, over 25% of the American economy was owned by foreigners. British financiers put up the money to build the transcontinental railroad, developed its steel and coal industries. I could go on and on. In the absense of foreign investment, America would have remained a backward nation. So what if the money was foreign; the fact that it was invested in America made America great.
The best thing America can do is to encourage foreign investment in America. It gives foreigners a vested interest in maintaining the economy, and it brings back dollars to the US thus easing the balance of trade.
Consider that Mercedes Benz Corporation built a large factory in Vance, Alabama. That company produces (directly and indirectly) about 50,000 jobs in the area. Do you think it matters one whit to the people of Alabama who owns the corporation? It brings jobs to Alabama; and that’s all they care about.
It doesn’t matter who owns the investment, it matters where the investment is located. So the Japanese bought Rockefeller Center — who cares — it’s not like they’re going to ship it back to Japan. That’s Japanese money coming to America.
I say send jets to bring in the Chinese millionaires and have them buy anything they want. It’s good for the economy.
